Pros and cons of Finger app for iPhone and iPad

Finger app good for

It saved me money from buying expensive writing pad. Good work! It would have 5 stars if it could re-connect to the last connected machine automatically once launched.
I have used it on a daily basis and I can recommend it for Mac users. I had no connectivity issue with my MacBook with only occasional hiccups that can be recovered by restarting the app. It also works with my Window Vista laptop even the developer no longer supports this platform but the archived desktop app works for me too. It is clever to simply re-use IPhones intuitive input method. You need wi fi network but it is better than Bluetooth connectivity if you ask me. Starbucks wi fi works too. 3G and PC tethering wont work as expected. The app appears to cache your Chinese input and would recommend associated characters based on your past input. This is time saving. The app doesnt seem to work with native iPhone cut & paste function as I cant copy input text. All in all, this app delivers what it offers. It is just not dummy proof for everyone.
I have been looking for something like this for my iMac and I couldnt be happier! The recognition software is really great! Thanks for producing such a great app!
Works very well on my Windows 10pro & iPhone 6+. Time to recycle my iPhone 4 / iPod Touch
Turns the iPhone into a Chinese writing tablet, exactly as advertised. Really easy to set up, and the interface is gorgeous.
I would not recommend this to someone who relies on handwriting input as their main way of entering Chinese text on their computer, but for those of us who primarily use a phonetic input method it is really useful to have for those cases where you dont know how a character is pronounced. I find it works great on OS X, although sometimes it dosnt connect properly. (Hence 4 instead of 5 stars.)

Some bad moments

has to connect with computer in order to input....r u serious... not support win 7....worst 5 bulk i ever spend
I was unable to ever get started, I tried to input the code on my computer to link it, but the boxes were grayed out. I thought it might not be because I didnt have it on my ipod, so I downloaded it. Still doesnt work, I emailed customer support but they sent back a single unhelpful email. A waste of five bucks. Still waiting on that solution.
I paid for the app for my iphone 4 and spent 2+ frustrating hours to make it work with my Mac. Eventually I sent a bug report to the company and got the following answer (mercifully quick reply): Fingers network protocol is not compatibility with iOS 4 (aka iPhone OS 4.0). We working on a fix. The fix has been approved on 30 June. If you experience Chinese writing problem after upgrading iOS4, please download the latest Finger v.1.1.1 update from iTunes App Store. My answer: If you knew it doesnt work, why do you pull it from the shelf? Its not about the several bucks I paid for the app. Its about the time I spent in vain to make it work. How do you calculate the cost of many customers time?
